So WHO AM I? I am Rachel a 40+ year old mom of four. I'd call myself a health foodie. I wasn't always into nutrition it just happened to find me.
Dealing with Crohn's Disease for 20+ years, I have always believed strongly in taking care of one’s body. Which is why I decided to become a Beachbody Coach back in 2014. I joined so it would hold me accountable to taking care of myself. But it taught me more in terms of a balanced lifestyle, to prevent and heal illness by adding in proper nutrition and exercise. This sparked my passion for nutrition and became a driving factor in wanting to learn even more about improving my health with a integrative nutrition approach. This lead me to enroll at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. As a certified IIN Holistic Health Coach, I am able to help people make their own choices around food and lifestyle with a integrative nutrition approach. Choices that help them transition to an improved lifestyle naturally and motivate them to make a lasting change.
Balancing my personal life, social life, family and whatever life decides to throw my way is still a process. I haven't cured my digestive health issues as there is no true cure, but I am making myself feel good through self awareness and learning my body's needs on my healing journey. I would never have believed that I could come this far simply through a different way of eating. The integrative nutrition approach will always be my first choice of healing. I’ve learned more on this health journey than I could have possibly imagined and I really wanted to share all of this information with you by creating this site. If there is someone reading this, that has experienced a similar journey and I have the ability to help them, then I believe it's a success. The most important thing to remember is that our bodies are all different so it's important to observe your body and do what makes you feel best, what foods and lifestyle work best for YOU. Hope to see you stick around.
